For Families

Substance use disorder affects more than the individual—it impacts families, friends, and loved ones as well. At Narcotics Prevention Association (NPA), we understand the emotional challenges that families face throughout the recovery process. Feelings of uncertainty, frustration, fear, and hope often exist all at once, which is why we believe that recovery is strongest when loved ones are included in the journey.

We believe that education and understanding empower families to become a positive source of encouragement and support. By learning about addiction, treatment, and the recovery process, family members can better understand what their loved one is experiencing while also developing healthy ways to care for themselves.

To support families, NPA offers educational resources and guidance designed to help loved ones navigate every stage of recovery. Our family education services provide valuable information about substance use disorder, medication-assisted treatment, relapse prevention, healthy communication, and the importance of long-term recovery support.

Family members also have opportunities to learn about the services available through NPA, ask questions, and gain practical tools for supporting a loved one while maintaining their own well-being. We recognize that recovery is a lifelong journey, and we are committed to helping families build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create a supportive environment that promotes lasting success.

At Narcotics Prevention Association, we believe recovery is a partnership. By working together with individuals, families, and the community, we help create a foundation of hope, healing, and lasting recovery for everyone affected by substance use disorder.
