There are clinics that are much closer to my home, but the treatment and staff at Narcotics Prevention Association is far superior, which is why my nearly hourlong roundtrip commute to East Los Angeles from Downtown LA is more than worth it.

The office director, Vicky, is a caring, lovely, and professional woman that genuinely cares about the best possible outcome for all patients. When I would miss a day, or more, at other clinics, they never seemed to care or call me. But Vicky called and left me a voicemail even though I was a new patient that was absent from my second or third day.

She has been so positive and kind to me since my intake, and so have all the clinic staff. The staff seem happy and enjoy the work they do, and that is likely in large part due to Vicky’s beyond-adequate leadership & warm demeanor. This woman is so magnetic, it is a real pleasure to chat with her during my visits.

I feel optimistic and confident about my recovery, simply because I’ve finally found a clinic that cares in a way others unfortunately were not able to. It has made all the difference in my ability to abstain from drug use. Cannot thank everyone here enough! So grateful and lucky to come here.
